31:1 Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel: and the men of Israel went in flight before the Philistines, falling down wounded in Mount Gilboa.
31:1 非利士人与以色列人争战。以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波有被杀仆倒的。
31:2 And the Philistines overtook Saul and his sons; and they put to death Jonathan and Abinadab and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.
31:2 非利士人紧追扫罗和他儿子们，就杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单，亚比拿达，麦基舒亚。
31:3 And the fight was going badly for Saul, and the archers came across him, and he was wounded by the archers.
31:3 势派甚大，扫罗被弓箭手追上，射伤甚重，
31:4 Then Saul said to the servant who had the care of his arms, Take out your sword and put it through me, before these men without circumcision come and make sport of me. But his servant, full of fear, would not do so. Then Saul took out his sword, and falling on it, put an end to himself.
31:4 就吩咐拿他兵器的人说，你拔出刀来，将我刺死，免得那些未受割礼的人来刺我，凌辱我。但拿兵器的人甚惧怕，不肯刺他。扫罗就自己伏在刀上死了。
31:5 And when his servant saw that Saul was dead, he did the same, and was united with him in death.
31:5 拿兵器的人见扫罗已死，也伏在刀上死了。
31:6 So death overtook Saul and his three sons and his servant on the same day.
31:6 这样，扫罗和他三个儿子，与拿他兵器的人，以及跟随他的人，都一同死亡。
31:7 And when the men of Israel across the valley and on the other side of Jordan saw that the army of Israel was in flight and that Saul and his sons were dead, they came out of their towns and went in flight; and the Philistines came and took them for themselves.
31:7 住平原那边并约旦河西的以色列人，见以色列军兵逃跑，扫罗和他儿子都死了，也就弃城逃跑。非利士人便来住在其中。
31:8 Now on the day after, when the Philistines came to take their goods from the dead, they saw Saul and his three sons dead on the earth in Mount Gilboa.
31:8 次日，非利士人来剥那被杀之人的衣服，看见扫罗和他三个儿子仆倒在基利波山，
31:9 And cutting off his head and taking away his war-dress, they sent word into the land of the Philistines round about, to take the news to their gods and to the people.
31:9 就割下他的首级，剥了他的军装，打发人到非利士地的四境（到或作送到），报信与他们庙里的偶像和众民。
31:10 His war-dress they put in the house of Astarte; and his body was fixed on the wall of Beth-shan.
31:10 又将扫罗的军装放在亚斯他录庙里，将他的尸身钉在伯珊的城墙上。
31:11 And when the people of Jabesh-gilead had news of what the Philistines had done to Saul,
31:11 基列雅比的居民听见非利士人向扫罗所行的事，
31:12 All the fighting men got up and, travelling all night, took Saul's body and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan; and they came to Jabesh and had them burned there.
31:12 他们中间所有的勇士就起身，走了一夜，将扫罗和他儿子的尸身从伯珊城墙上取下来，送到雅比那里，用火烧了。
31:13 And their bones they put in the earth under a tree in Jabesh; and for seven days they took no food.
31:13 将他们骸骨葬在雅比的垂丝柳树下，就禁食七日。
