35:1 And the Lord said to Moses in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho,
35:1 耶和华在摩押平原约旦河边，耶利哥对面晓谕摩西说，
35:2 Give orders to the children of Israel to give to the Levites, from the heritage which is theirs, towns for themselves, with land on the outskirts of the towns.
35:2 你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把些城给利未人居住，也要把这城四围的郊野给利未人。
35:3 These towns are to be their living-places, with land round them for their cattle and their food and all their beasts,
35:3 这城邑要归他们居住，城邑的郊野可以牧养他们的牛羊和各样的牲畜，又可以安置他们的财物。
35:4 Stretching from the wall of the towns a distance of a thousand cubits all round.
35:4 你们给利未人的郊野，要从城根起，四围往外量一千肘。
35:5 The measure of this space of land is to be two thousand cubits outside the town on the east, and two thousand cubits on the south and on the west and on the north, the town being in the middle. This space will be the outskirts of their towns.
35:5 另外东量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，为边界，城在当中。这要归他们作城邑的郊野。
35:6 And the towns which you give the Levites are to be the six safe places to which the taker of life may go in flight; and in addition you are to give them forty-two towns.
35:6 你们给利未人的城邑，其中当有六座逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。
35:7 Forty-eight towns are to be given to the Levites, all with land round them.
35:7 你们要给利未人的城，共有四十八座，连城带郊野都要给他们。
35:8 And these towns are to be given out of the heritage of the children of Israel, taking the greater number from those who have much, and a smaller number from those who have little: everyone, in the measure of his heritage, is to give of his property to the Levites.
35:8 以色列人所得的地业从中要把些城邑给利未人。人多的就多给，人少的就少给。各支派要按所承受为业之地把城邑给利未人。
35:9 And the Lord said to Moses,
35:9 耶和华晓谕摩西说，
35:10 Say to the children of Israel, when you have gone over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
35:10 你吩咐以色列人说，你们过约旦河，进了迦南地，
35:11 Then let certain towns be marked out as safe places to which anyone who takes the life of another in error may go in flight.
35:11 就要分出几座城，为你们作逃城，使误杀人的可以逃到那里。
35:12 In these towns you may be safe from him who has the right of punishment; so that death may not overtake the taker of life till he has been judged by the meeting of the people.
35:12 这些城可以作逃避报仇人的城，使误杀人的不至于死，等他站在会众面前听审判。
35:13 Six of the towns which you give will be such safe places;
35:13 你们所分出来的城，要作六座逃城。
35:14 Three on the other side of Jordan and three in the land of Canaan, to be safe places for flight.
35:14 在约旦河东要分出三座城，在迦南地也要分出三座城，都作逃城。
35:15 For the children of Israel and for the man from another country who is living among them, these six towns are to be safe places, where anyone causing the death of another through error may go in flight.
35:15 这六座城要给以色列人和他们中间的外人，并寄居的，作为逃城，使误杀人的都可以逃到那里。
35:16 But if a man gives another man a blow with an iron instrument, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
35:16 倘若人用铁器打人，以致打死，他就是故杀人的。故杀人的必被治死。
35:17 Or if he gives him a blow with a stone in his hand, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
35:17 若用可以打死人的石头打死了人，他就是故杀人的。故杀人的必被治死。
35:18 Or if he gave him blows with a wood instrument in his hands, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
35:18 若用可以打死人的木器打死了人，他就是故杀人的。故杀人的必被治死。
35:19 He whose right it is to give punishment for blood, may himself put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.
35:19 报血仇的必亲自杀那故杀人的，一遇见就杀他。
35:20 If in his hate he put a sword through him, or waiting secretly for him sent a spear or stone at him, causing his death;
35:20 人若因怨恨把人推倒，或是埋伏往人身上扔物，以致于死，
35:21 Or in hate gave him blows with his hand, causing death; he who gave the death-blow is to be put to death; he is a taker of life: he whose right it is to give punishment for blood may put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.
35:21 或是因仇恨用手打人，以致于死，那打人的必被治死。他是故杀人的。报血仇的一遇见就杀他。
35:22 But if a man has given a wound to another suddenly and not in hate, or without design has sent something against him,
35:22 倘若人没有仇恨，忽然将人推倒，或是没有埋伏把物扔在人身上，
35:23 Or has given him a blow with a stone, without seeing him, so causing his death, though he had nothing against him and no desire to do him evil:
35:23 或是没有看见的时候用可以打死人的石头扔在人身上，以致于死，本来与他无仇，也无意害他。
35:24 Then let the meeting of the people be judge between the man responsible for the death and him who has the right of punishment for blood, acting by these rules:
35:24 会众就要照典章，在打死人的和报血仇的中间审判。
35:25 And let the people keep the man responsible for the death safe from the hands of him who has the right of punishment for blood, and send him back to his safe town where he had gone in flight: there let him be till the death of the high priest who was marked with the holy oil.
35:25 会众要救这误杀人的脱离报血仇人的手，也要使他归入逃城。他要住在其中，直等到受圣膏的大祭司死了。
35:26 But if ever he goes outside the walls of the safe town where he had gone in flight,
35:26 但误杀人的，无论什么时候，若出了逃城的境外，
35:27 And the giver of punishment, meeting him outside the walls of the town, puts him to death, he will not be responsible for his blood:
35:27 报血仇的在逃城境外遇见他，将他杀了，报血仇的就没有流血之罪。
35:28 Because he had been ordered to keep inside the safe town till the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the taker of life may come back to the place of his heritage.
35:28 因为误杀人的该住在逃城里，等到大祭司死了。大祭司死了以后，误杀人的才可以回到他所得为业之地。
35:29 These rules are to be your guide in judging through all your generations wherever you may be living.
35:29 这在你们一切的住处，要作你们世世代代的律例典章。
35:30 Anyone causing the death of another is himself to be put to death on the word of witnesses: but the word of one witness is not enough.
35:30 无论谁故杀人，要凭几个见证人的口把那故杀人的杀了，只是不可凭一个见证的口叫人死。
35:31 Further, no price may be given for the life of one who has taken life and whose right reward is death: he is certainly to be put to death.
35:31 故杀人，犯死罪的，你们不可收赎价代替他的命。他必被治死。
35:32 And no price may be offered for one who has gone in flight to a safe town, for the purpose of letting him come back to his place before the death of the high priest.
35:32 那逃到逃城的人，你们不可为他收赎价，使他在大祭司未死以先再来住在本地。
35:33 So do not make the land where you are living unholy: for blood makes the land unholy: and there is no way of making the land free from the blood which has come on it, but only by the death of him who was the cause of it.
35:33 这样，你们就不污秽所住之地，因为血是污秽地的。若有在地上流人血的，非流那杀人者的血，那地就不得洁净（洁净原文作赎）。
35:34 Do not make unclean the land where you are living and in which is my House: for I the Lord am present among the children of Israel.
35:34 你们不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在其中之地，因为我耶和华住在以色列人中间。
