28:1 Then Isaac sent for Jacob, and blessing him, said, Do not take a wife from among the women of Canaan;
28:1 以撒叫了雅各来，给他祝福，并嘱咐他说，你不要娶迦南的女子为妻。
28:2 But go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel, your mother's father, and there get yourself a wife from the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother.
28:2 你起身往巴旦亚兰去，到你外祖彼土利家里，在你母舅拉班的女儿中娶一女为妻。
28:3 And may God, the Ruler of all, give you his blessing, giving you fruit and increase, so that you may become an army of peoples.
28:3 愿全能的神赐福给你，使你生养众多，成为多族，
28:4 And may God give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed, so that the land of your wanderings, which God gave to Abraham, may be your heritage.
28:4 将应许亚伯拉罕的福赐给你和你的后裔，使你承受你所寄居的地为业，就是神赐给亚伯拉罕的地。
28:5 So Isaac sent Jacob away: and he went to Paddan-aram, to Laban, son of Bethuel the Aramaean, the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau.
28:5 以撒打发雅各走了，他就往巴旦亚兰去，到亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里。拉班是雅各，以扫的母舅。
28:6 So when Esau saw that Isaac had given Jacob his blessing, and sent him away to Paddan-aram to get a wife for himself there, blessing him and saying to him, Do not take a wife from among the women of Canaan;
28:6 以扫见以撒已经给雅各祝福，而且打发他往巴旦亚兰去，在那里娶妻，并见祝福的时候嘱咐他说，不要娶迦南的女子为妻，
28:7 And that Jacob had done as his father and mother said and had gone to Paddan-aram;
28:7 又见雅各听从父母的话往巴旦亚兰去了，
28:8 It was clear to Esau that his father had no love for the women of Canaan,
28:8 以扫就晓得他父亲以撒看不中迦南的女子，
28:9 So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath, the daughter of Abraham's son Ishmael, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had.
28:9 便往以实玛利那里去，在他二妻之外又娶了玛哈拉为妻。他是亚伯拉罕儿子以实玛利的女儿，尼拜约的妹子。
28:10 So Jacob went out from Beer-sheba to go to Haran.
28:10 雅各出了别是巴，向哈兰走去。
28:11 And coming to a certain place, he made it his resting-place for the night, for the sun had gone down; and he took one of the stones which were there, and putting it under his head he went to sleep in that place.
28:11 到了一个地方，因为太阳落了，就在那里住宿，便拾起那地方的一块石头枕在头下，在那里躺卧睡了，
28:12 And he had a dream, and in his dream he saw steps stretching from earth to heaven, and the angels of God were going up and down on them.
28:12 梦见一个梯子立在地上，梯子的头顶着天，有神的使者在梯子上，上去下来。
28:13 And he saw the Lord by his side, saying, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: I will give to you and to your seed this land on which you are sleeping.
28:13 耶和华站在梯子以上（或作站在他旁边），说，我是耶和华你祖亚伯拉罕的神，也是以撒的神。我要将你现在所躺卧之地赐给你和你的后裔。
28:14 Your seed will be like the dust of the earth, covering all the land to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south: you and your seed will be a name of blessing to all the families of the earth.
28:14 你的后裔必像地上的尘沙那样多，必向东西南北开展。地上万族必因你和你的后裔得福。
28:15 And truly, I will be with you, and will keep you wherever you go, guiding you back again to this land; and I will not give you up till I have done what I have said to you.
28:15 我也与你同在。你无论往哪里去，我必保佑你，领你归回这地，总不离弃你，直到我成全了向你所应许的。
28:16 And Jacob, awaking from his sleep, said, Truly, the Lord is in this place and I was not conscious of it.
28:16 雅各睡醒了，说，耶和华真在这里，我竟不知道。
28:17 And fear came on him, and he said, This is a holy place; this is nothing less than the house of God and the doorway of heaven.
28:17 就惧怕，说，这地方何等可畏，这不是别的，乃是神的殿，也是天的门。
28:18 And early in the morning Jacob took the stone which had been under his head, and put it up as a pillar and put oil on it.
28:18 雅各清早起来，把所枕的石头立作柱子，浇油在上面。
28:19 And he gave that place the name of Beth-el, but before that time the town was named Luz.
28:19 他就给那地方起名叫伯特利（就是神殿的意思）。但那地方起先名叫路斯。
28:20 Then Jacob took an oath, and said, If God will be with me, and keep me safe on my journey, and give me food and clothing to put on,
28:20 雅各许愿说，神若与我同在，在我所行的路上保佑我，又给我食物吃，衣服穿，
28:21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace, then I will take the Lord to be my God,
28:21 使我平平安安地回到我父亲的家，我就必以耶和华为我的神。
28:22 And this stone which I have put up for a pillar will be God's house: and of all you give me, I will give a tenth part to you.
28:22 我所立为柱子的石头也必作神的殿，凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。
